🪜 Step-by-Step Guide to Apply for NIOS (2024–25)


🔹 Step 1: Visit the NIOS Official Website

👉 https://sdmis.nios.ac.in/ the prospectus under:Admission > Academic > Prospectus


🔹 Step 2: Choose Your Stream

Select:Admission > Academic > Stream 1 Block II (for fresh or failed students for Oct 2025 exams)


🔹 Step 3: Fill in Basic Details

  • Name, DOB, Aadhaar, parents’ names

  • Choose Secondary (10th) or Senior Secondary (12th)

  • Register your mobile number and email (for OTP and login)


🔹 Step 4: Upload Required Documents

Scanned documents required:

  • Passport-size photo and signature

  • Aadhaar card

  • DOB proof

  • Failed marksheet (if applicable)

  • Address proof

  • Class 8th certificate (for 10th) / Class 10th marksheet (for 12th)

  • Caste/Disability/Ex-Serviceman certificates if applicable


🔹 Step 5: Select Subjects & ToC (Transfer of Credit)

  • Choose at least 5 subjects

  • If you passed any subjects previously, select TOC for credit transfer(Max 2 subjects from other boards, 4 from NIOS)


🔹 Step 6: Choose Study Centre

🔹 Step 7: Pay the Fee Online

  • Approx. ₹1800 to ₹2500 depending on subjects and category

  • Use UPI, Net banking, Credit/Debit card


🔹 Step 8: Confirmation and Dashboard Access


🔹 Step 9: Download ID Card & Study Materials

  • Identity Card will be available in your dashboard

  • Attend practicals and PCP (Personal Contact Programs) at your study centre
